Every year at Hope College we produce a CD of songs that we have sung regularly in our weekly gatherings. This year we did something special and recorded our favorite songs in one night of worship. Thank you Hope College for such a great night of singing and praising our Lord!

These songs are a collection of old and new favorites, along with a couple of Hope-grown songs. Special thanks to Josh Banner for Fairer, Zach Pedigo for All Thy Fullness, and Jess Alldredge for the beautiful string quartet orchestrations. Thanks to the worship teams who give so much time to this ministry, to the tech teams for their peerless humor and service, to Paul Chamness for his over and above, to all the Campus ministry chaplains, staff, and student workers, and to the insanely awesome students that fill Dimnent Chapel every week with worshipers the Father loves.

Holy Spirit help us to never forget that Jesus is fairer than all!

Notes on the Title:
Fairer… The Bible is full of ecological language for the economy of God's kingdom. Words and phrases that catch and lift our imagination towards the great Triune God. The title for our annual worship CD is taken from a lovely song written by Josh Banner which draws its inspiration from the hymn Fairest Lord Jesus which is itself a meditation on the beauty of Jesus. Psalm 27:4 says, "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.” We are blessed to worship four times a week in Dimnent chapel and I’m always amazed by the beauty of the worship that happens there - in song, prayer, preaching, table, and fellowship. - Bruce Benedict
